Medical Nutrition Therapy PositionProvide medical nutrition therapy to patients. Ensures adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.Detailed responsibilities:COMPLIANCE - Adhere and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures objectives quality assurance program safety environmental and infection control standards JCAHO and other regulatory agency requirementsIMPROVE - Participate in nutrition care performance improvement activitiesREVIEW - Complete limited assessments according to established criteria and refer patients to Clinical Dietitians as neededPATIENT CARE - Develop care plan monitor and evaluate patient careMENU - Oversee menu preparation distribution and collectionEDUCATION - Provide information to patients regarding diet food/drug interactions and menuINTERPERSONAL RELATIONS - Establish and maintain effective interpersonal business relationships with patients visitors physicians and all Hospitals personnelRELATED WORK - Perform related duties and responsibilities as requiredQualifications:Education:Essential:Bachelor's DegreeEducation specialization:Essential: or Higher in Related Discipline or w/in 36 MonthsExperience:Essential: No minimum experience requiredNonessential: No preferred experienceCredentials:Essential: Nutrition and Dietetic Tech Registered or within 1 yearNonessential:Physical Conditions: Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
